HUNTERSVILLE, N.C. (Feb. 27, 2011) – The Georgia Dome in Atlanta, Ga. was packed with 69,517 fans and those that were not able to be in attendance watched the race live on SPEED.

After setting some very competitive lap times Justin Brayton suffered a hard crash during the second practice/qualifying session that left his back, right elbow and left knee sore and swollen. Muscle Milk/Toyota/JGRMX Team trainer Tim Gearhart worked with Brayton during the afternoon to minimize the effects of the injuries and allow him to do his best during the night program. Brayton was determined and he and Davi Millsaps were able to transfer to the main event from their respective heat races without issue.

When the gate fell in front of the deafening crowd, Brayton started near the front of the pack with Millsaps in the middle of the field just outside of the top-ten. The teammates established themselves just outside of the top-five and top-10 respectively as the race progressed. At the checkers Brayton was able to gut out a seventh place despite his injuries with Millsaps only one position out of the top-10 in eleventh.

The next round of the AMA Supercross Championship Series will be March 5 at Daytona International Speedway in Daytona Beach, Fla. SPEED will air the original broadcast from Daytona live at 8:00 p.m. (EST).
