Tim Dixon and Steve Hudson Honored at Supercross Banquet
The Muscle Milk/Toyota/JGRMX Team Transport Driver and Chaplain Receive Awards

HUNTERSVILLE, N.C. (May 10, 2010) – Sam Boyd Stadium in Las Vegas, Nev. is always the final round of the 17-race AMA Supercross Championship Series. The final event however is the annual Supercross Banquet, put on by Feld Entertainment.

The Supercross Banquet is a time for everyone in the industry to relax, have some fun, and honor the champions, as well as deserving industry personnel. This year, two Muscle Milk/Toyota/JGRMX Team family members received awards.

Tim Dixon, the Muscle Milk/Toyota/JGRMX Team transport driver received the Transport Driver of the Year Award. This award is given to the transport driver who has demonstrated excellence in his work, as well as his overall attitude and professionalism. The award is especially meaningful as the transport drivers themselves vote and select the recipient from among their peers. “It’s a great honor to receive this, I feel like if you are going to do something you should try and be the best at it,” said Dixon.

"Tim is one of the people behind the scenes working as hard as anyone on the team. In NASCAR, and motocross, transport drivers have so many jobs to do it`s hard to keep track of everything. In addition to driving the truck they also help stock and inventory parts, ship engines and suspension, maintain the tractor and trailer, and on top of that they feed the team at the events," said team owner Coy Gibbs.

Steve “Chappy” Hudson is not exclusive to the team, but each Monday the team provides lunch and Hudson shares an inspirational message, so he is part of the Muscle Milk/Toyota/JGRMX family. Hudson, who is also the Chaplain for the AMA Supercross Championship Series, was given a Lifetime Achievement Award. Hudson attends nearly every event (both supercross and motocross) providing the morning chapel service, comforting injured riders, and offer a caring ear for anyone who wants to shed a burden or have their spirits lifted in a time of trouble. When a rider is taken to a hospital during a race, you can find Hudson there for support and encouragement. He has both married a large number of people in the industry, as well as provided counseling and guidance to help keep couples married.

“Ministry is an important part of our mission at Joe Gibbs Racing,” said Coy Gibbs.  “Steve has the ability to connect with the young people that predominately make up the motocross industry, which can be difficult to do. We are lucky that he is local to us so we see him every week at the shop.”

Congratulations Tim and Steve from the entire Joe Gibbs Racing organization.
