The Muscle Milk Toyota Riders Finish First and Second in Italy
HUNTERSVILLE, N.C. (November 29, 2009) – Justin Brayton and Josh Grant finished first and second at the Genova Supercross in Genova, Italy on November 28, 2009. Both riders won their respective heat races, creating the expectation of a duel for the win between the teammates. The event was the final round of the European Supercross Series.
In the first of two main events, the recent Bercy Supercross winner Brayton led all 12 laps for the win, with Grant finishing sixth after a mishap caused him to go from the front to nearly last place on lap three. The determined Grant charged through half of the field in the remaining nine laps to finish sixth.
Grant started the second main event in third position and by the fourth lap he was in control of the race to the checkers. Brayton started the race in fifth position and moved into second just after the halfway mark where he stayed until the finish.
